Beckhoff EK9300 is an EKxxxx bus coupler designed to integrate distributed EtherCAT I/O with a higher-level PROFINET RT network. On the PROFINET side it operates as a network device, while on the local side it handles EtherCAT Terminals and compatible EtherCAT Box modules.
The EK9300 forms the interface between a PROFINET controller and a local EtherCAT station. Terminal configuration is represented on the PROFINET side through the GSDML file, so extensions or replacements should be checked against the terminals and mapping options supported by the installed configuration.
The coupler is intended for EtherCAT Terminals, not legacy K-bus terminals. Replacement selection should therefore consider the higher-level fieldbus, the I/O topology and GSDML compatibility. Detailed electrical values and process-data limits are listed in the technical specifications.
